SAMPLE
DIALOGUE:
HENRY
Sorry I’m late. Happy Valentine’s! (Kisses BONNIE and puts
the bouquet on the table.)
Got something to put them in? (Heads for the closet.)
BONNIE
Wait, wait Henry! I’ll hang up your coat!
HENRY
What’s this? Special Valentine’s Day service? I could get
used to that! Aren’t you even
gonna look at these? (Picks up the roses and hands them to BONNIE.)
BONNIE
Oh yes, they’re beautiful! But you shouldn’t. These must have
cost a mint.
HENRY
They must have. But I didn’t pay for ‘em. Is there a card?
BONNIE
I don’t see one.
HENRY
Just as well. Who knows what it would say.
BONNIE
What do you mean?
HENRY
‘Cause it wasn’t me who wrote it, who knows what it would
say.
